Terms of Service

Effective Date: December 18, 2024

These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your use of CodeGuide (“we,” “us,” or “our”), which helps users create AI-driven project documentation. By accessing or using CodeGuide (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the Service.

Introduction

CodeGuide provides a platform for generating structured documentation from user-submitted ideas. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and CodeGuide. You must be at least 13 years old to use our Service.

Accounts and Subscriptions

You may create an account by signing up with Google or other permitted methods. Monthly and yearly subscriptions provide different credit allocations and features. You can cancel anytime from your account dashboard, and your access remains valid through the end of your billing cycle. Payment information is processed via a third-party service and is subject to their security practices.

Use of the Service

CodeGuide facilitates documentation creation for AI coding projects. You own any original content you upload or generate. By using the Service, you grant us permission to process and store your content to deliver and improve our functionality. You agree not to misuse or exploit the Service for illegal activities or interfere with its normal operation. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for breaches of these Terms.

Credits and Tokens

Credits or tokens measure usage for AI-based refinements and document creation. Monthly and yearly plans offer different credit amounts. Any additional usage may require top-ups or an upgraded plan. CodeGuide does not guarantee the perpetual rollover of unused credits.

Intellectual Property

All trademarks, content, and platform features belong to CodeGuide. You retain rights to your original data and final generated documents. Use of CodeGuide does not grant any ownership over our underlying technology or branding.

Confidentiality and Privacy

Your personal data is handled according to our Privacy Policy. By continuing to use the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and accept that policy.

Limitation of Liability

CodeGuide provides automated documentation guidance but does not guarantee error-free AI outputs. You acknowledge that results may vary, and that you remain responsible for verifying code or documentation generated by the platform. We are not liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from use of the Service, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Modifications to the Terms

We may update or modify these Terms as needed. Notice of significant changes may be posted on our website or emailed to you. Continuing to use CodeGuide after changes means you accept the revised Terms.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where CodeGuide operates. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with those laws, and jurisdiction for any claims lies in that region's courts.

Effective Date

These Terms are effective as of December 18th 2024.
